The Sewickley Valley Chamber of Commerce (SVCC) strives to educate, motivate, and connect local merchants, professional services, and nonprofits, and works hand in hand with Village Green Partners to promote the area as a destination for shopping, dining, and living. The professional affiliation between the SVCC and Village Green Partners allows the groups to act harmoniously as part of a bigger, well-oiled machine while being different in almost every way.
Because of the SVCC’s professional affiliation with Village Green Partners, they are unique in several ways. All businesses within the Quaker Valley are considered to be Chamber members; there are no annual dues. Instead, members pay a small fee to participate in SVCC activities. The SVCC conducts a Speaker Series throughout the year. The group promotes Village Green’s services to the business district.
The Chamber conducts quarterly board of directors meetings, which are open to the general membership. The SVCC board of directors consists of five members: a president, a vice-president/treasurer, a secretary, and two members-at-large, nominated by the officers and elected from the general membership. All board members serve two year terms.
The current Board is:
- President – Cora DeLoia, Spoiled Chics the Boutique – Outgoing - Position Open
- Vice President/Treasurer – Leo Grandovic, Northwest Bank
- Secretary, Lyndi DeLisio
- Member-at-large – Doug Florey, Laughlin Children’s Center – Outgoing – Position Open
- Member-at-large – Alexis Communale, The Jewel Thief
